Pros
The salaries are very good - better than other federal agencies. Telework is encouraged, though that is mostly because they moved regional offices and this building was too small. There are a number of flexible work schedules. Admirable mission.
Cons
Morale is terrible. Thanks to sequestration, we lost a ton of employees. So now everyone does two or three people's jobs. There's no upward mobility or career development. The work is frequently boring and the managers are frequently incompetent. It's the federal government, so the culture is conservative, anti-innovation, lot of red-tape.
