Pros

Great co-workers – friendly, hard-working, and intelligent. Working in the SaaS space always brings exciting challenges. Product is OK, and provides some value to customers.

Cons

With most start-ups, there are inherent challenges that accompany working with an emerging product. Unfortunately, the challenges at Envisio are exacerbated by being a small team, wherein every decision (critical, or otherwise) is micromanaged by Mike Bell – a CEO that lacks data-driven decision-making abilities, strategy, and logic. The majority of top-level decisions are made on gut instinct, and with disregard to middle-management and employee input. The workplace culture at Envisio is also poor. Morale is extraordinarily low. While employees are friendly, hardworking, and easygoing - Mike Bell's conduct is atrocious. Each employee, including management, is made to feel replaceable; an interesting strategy in a company where your number of co-workers can be counted on two hands. In terms of compensation, every member of the team (from Development, to Customer Success, to Sales) is nickel-and-dimed to save pennies where they can. Verbal agreements are a farce – if you don’t get something in writing with ironclad clauses, don’t expect any agreement to be honored. Word of advice to job-seekers: I understand times are tough right now. However, unless you're penniless in the street, I wouldn't think twice about working here . I wish my opinions were skewed or fabricated, much like some of the other Envisio reviews on here, but unfortunately that’s not the case. I challenge anyone seeking to work at Envisio; reach out to some of the current employees. Ask them for their honest opinion, in confidence. I would expect their opinion to align with my own. No one treats their time here more than a pit-stop, with their eyes set somewhere else in the near future.

Pros

Updating to provide additional context and more details: I am still fairly new to Envisio - however I have some initial thoughts that I feel are important to share with anyone considering this company as an employer. Throughout the recruitment process, I heard from several people that company culture is a top priority. To be honest, I definitely expected that to be more or less lip service. Every company I work for has said culture is priority, it very seldom actually is. Envisio definitely does put company culture at the top of the priority list. I would prefer to keep my review limited to the actual working environment, and not the software functionality. That said, I must compliment the company on actually developing the solution. After years with SaaS companies, it is nice to work somewhere with a roadmap, development plans, and actual success when it comes to new features and updates. During the recruiting process, one of the exec leadership team members told me that they would be looking for people to bring their experience and expertise to the role. This is a smaller company, with big goals - however, they also recognize they dont have ALL of the answers. Again, something I would have expected to be lip service - however, I am not one to bite my tongue in any capacity, so I often chime in with my thoughts and feedback. At no point have I been made to feel like my suggestions are unwelcome, or put me in danger of losing my position. I have already impacted some processes internally, providing positive change that will (hopefully) benefit the company and sales team. As of this posting, the sales team is a powerhouse. Each member brings something different to the table. The team is not competitive or slimy - there is a mentality of when one wins, we all win. I have goals for myself, but I also have goals for my teammates, and our team as a whole. I do not desire to be the only winner, I want us all to win. I genuinely feel that is reflected in the people I work alongside. The rest of the organization is equally as powerful. The marketing team is like none I have worked with in the past. The implementation/coach team is filled with true industry experts who work to ensure the best possible experience for clients. While this may not immediately stand out as something that impacts my work experience, it does. Circling back to selling with integrity, I need to know that I am handing my clients over to the same level of care that I provided through the sales cycle - in previous roles, that is what motivated me to look elsewhere. I have zero concern when it comes to this team. They are fiercely protective of the agencies they work with.

Cons

Any cons of working with Envisio are minimal. The company is in a growth period, and people are busy. I love that I am busy and the days fly by - my challenge here is that sometimes, I am feeling social and my teammates are seldom available to banter at the same times I am. If this is the worst of the cons, I hope I have effectively demonstrated how solid the company is. I also am not a fan of Google Suite for work related functions - gmail, google meet, drive.
