Pros
I took up the internship program at Envitech Engineering for 3 months. Even though I was only an intern, my responsibilities were comparable to a full-time engineer. My job scope included design, implementing, testing and commissioning of projects. Furthermore, I was expected to liaise with suppliers, contractors, clients and even do sales. All of this might sound impossible for just an intern, I thought so too when I started but I ended up doing all the above mentioned. Moreover, this was my first internship experience and I can safely say that in my opinion there is no other place that can give you an experience of this kind.
Cons
You will learn a lot but only if you are willing to withstand it. You need to be mentally strong to survive here and you should be able to take constructive criticism. You also need to be fine with traveling as I was rarely at the office; engineers are expected to be on site working projects. Moreover, you should be motivated by your passion to learn rather than how much money you will make here.
