Pros
The Enviva management team has really high standards and they expect their employees to have high standards as well. This company gets a lot of criticism for what we do, even though our business model is entirely built around sustainability. Enviva is not the kind of company you can come into and coast through your day. But its a perfect place to work for those that work hard, want to learn the business, and believe in what they're doing. The pay is competitive, the benefits are the best I've had in my career to date, and I have a ton of respect for the management team. I'm a low man on the totem pole, and any time I've taken an opportunity to discuss frustrations or process breaks with any member of upper management, they've taken the time to hear me out and done everything they could to help me get the support I needed to fix it. You have to be willing to tell them the problems to get it fixed. Yes, we have a few bad apples just like every other company. Yes, we have growing pains and frustrations just like every other company. But the people are amazing and what we stand for is even better. If you're looking for a cake job, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a rewarding career with people you can really learn from, this is a great place to work.
Cons
We do have system issues with outdated systems and inconsistencies in processes, but those are all a work in progress right now. They are implementing a few different upgrades and new systems to streamline broken processes.
