Pros
This has been a great job working for this staffing agency. I don't remember applying. But they called and did a short interview over the phone, and I was thankful I answered that call about the contract with Optum Rx and United Healthcare. You get four weeks of training, and United Healthcare employees act as the HR for you regarding training and day-to-day activities. They mail you all the computer equipment, get you IT support to help you set it all up—equity checks in periodically or weekly. Holly at Equity is excellent and feels like your best friend as she guides you through the initial steps. Everything else, like work/job tracking, is handled by United Healthcare. They are friendly, helpful and supportive.
Cons
The job is only $17 hourly and is not a living wage. Health insurance is offered but is not the most cost-effective. Getting hired by United Healthcare is challenging as you have to exceed their metrics. I have long covid, So I was not able to do that.
