Pros

Lots of great people who are kind and brilliant at their job.

Cons

If you’re a woman, just go somewhere else. You are just a number for them to brag about. The place is a boys club. The company talks about speak up culture but if you do speak up nothing will come of it and you will have to deal with the social consequences. Plenty of people talking about feminism and diversity all the time with no actions to back it up. Treatment of women can be awful. They can be pushed into non coding roles and openly told they are put to do certain work, like dealing with non coding work, because they are women and told “women are better at these things”. Managers will do things off the record and then when you try to report them, you have no proof. Zero accountability even when management is abusive. Promotion is based on who you know, not how well you do. Management will block promotions and moves to other roles or teams solely because they want to keep you working for them instead and you will get no say in the matter. If a manager is mistreating you, it is next to impossible to switch teams because it’s mostly up to managers themselves to move you. Issues with management are just open secrets. During Covid the company did next to nothing for their employees while other companies went the extra mile. Pay is terrible and far below the industry standard. They will tell you they have such a good culture that it makes up for it. The culture is, in reality, terrible and anyone who has worked somewhere else will know that.

Pros

-Technological superior to most other companies with use of AI and promising future tech/programs -benefits and pay are very competetive -room for professional growth and advancement if you know how to work in a corporate environment -resume development and professional advancement

Cons

-leadership ideology doesnt match the company/CEOs mission statement or belief (company is said to be all for safety yet leaders get put in charge and quickly dismantle and lay off 3 quarters of the safety department) -Leadership changes structure to benefit themselves by having all support functions report to them instead of the CEO, this ensures all support functions take a back seat to production and financial gain to include their employees well being -Company restructured and reorganizes very often while showing no loyalty to the employees who work hard and want to stay, this leads to turn over of great employees.
