Pros

Esteemed approached me with several full time contract opportunities while I was working another job, and although I couldn't take another gig they kept up with me and eventually did loop me in with a contractor job that paid well.

Cons

That contract job however was with a super sketchy job (1 ⭐ Glassdoor review) . They listened to me about my concerns. I don't feel that they took me seriously. Further, Esteemeds pay cycle is bi-monthly (which means 24 pay checks a year) and *get this* they pay two weeks in arrears! Didn't mention that in their initial recruitment spiel, huh?! Awful. What that means is the first two weeks you work... you don't get paid. Worse, that paycheck shows up at the end of the month! Got rent? Tough luck! Like eating? Go *hug* yourself. Got bills...you get the idea. Can't count on these guys...stiffed me on my last paycheck, too. I felt suckered. So, I left when a better opportunity came along, I took it. Didn't even feel bad.

Thanks for letting us know. We've read your review carefully, and here's our feedback below. Regarding pay periods, you agreed to this when you reviewed and signed the Contractor Agreement prior to the start of the job. We are very clear that we pay twice monthly in our agreement, and are happy to re-send you the Contractor Agreement for review. Paying one pay period behind is standard practice for all US employers, as we cannot pay a pay period before the period ends. Additionally, as in our Employment Agreement, we outline that in the event a contractor leaves the contract without notice, and the client refuses to pay for the time, the contractor will not be paid for that time. We are happy to re-send you the Employment Agreement that you signed as well. Regarding the paycheck you mention not being paid for, even if the client had agreed to pay you after leaving the contract without notice, we couldn't have paid it as, at the time of this response, the pay period had not ended. We had discussed all of this in detail after you communicated that you wanted a 40% raise after less than a month of work. After not receiving the raise, you resigned and committed to working through your two-week notice. You had told us that our team communicated to you not to work your last two-weeks. No one on our team stated this to you, as this would severely impact our relationship with our clients and contractors. Best of luck in your future job search, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to discuss these points further with us. Thanks!

Pros

- Great leadership that is consistently engaged in the success of their contractors. - Great company culture - always finding ways to help contractors form communities around their skills sets so they can share industry knowledge with one another & hosting free educational lunch & learns so that the contractors can collectively learn new skills together. - They are fast with finding roles for their contractors. - They are always finding ways to stay up to speed with their contractor's career goals and how they are feeling about their current job placement within the company to ensure that it is a good fit for what they were looking for. - Willing to work with the contractor to find a better job placement that may fit them better if they do not work out at the original job placement.

Cons

I can't think of any cons at this moment. I've worked with a few recruiting firms and none of them have their own program dedicated to contractors they just collect the headhunter fees, will touch base with the contractor maybe 1x a week or month, and focus more on Client engagement rather than the contractor's wellbeing throughout the process. I can tell you Esteemed is the exact opposite of this and I haven't seen any other company operate at this level but I hope all talent & recruiting firms move to this operational framework soon.

Pros

Idk, they placed me with a company i like to work for.

Cons

They do not pay ontime per the contract, they dodge responsiblity at every turn possible and never hold themselves accountable for not following the contract. Causing litney of issue from late fees stuck on you, no gurantee paydays to budget with, and leadership will talk to you like a immature child.
