Pros

People are great and there is a lot of longevity and tenure there. Job security for the most part and the ESOP benefits are nice. Management made efforts to do fun things and have occasional outings and office parties to boost moral.

Cons

Extremely behind the times when it comes to technology and procedures. Very much ran by a few "old boys" at the top and lots of nepotism at play here. Little to NO advancement opportunities. Pay SUCKS!!! They pay way under the marketplace average for same positions and they will tell you it is because they are a "military company" however, they are profitable enough to pay the going rate for these positions. If you are a long time employee, you have probably moved positions a few times and been told it was "lateral move" and were given small (3%) salary increase for what should be a promotion. Then you will find out they are bringing in people outside the company for new positions and paying them much more than you are making. Not too many women in management roles and the ones that are, are not treated as equals. Very behind the times on allowing employees to have flexible hours and work from home options. 80% of my job could have been done remotely but that was not an option. However, we do have remote employees and others within the company who are allowed work from home options. This was a point of contention for many because the "rules" were not fairly enforced across the entire company. Company was extremely behind the times when it comes to utilizing technology and the systems in place were old and antiquated (still using a DOS based platform for a lot of the work!).
