      There are no pros that I can think of.

      Cons

      This used to be a great KC company to work for and after the merger of KCPL and Westar the culture has drastically changed. There is a new management team and this is no longer a family oriented company. It doesn't help that they are forcing everyone into the office in person for work.

      Pros

      Good work life balance Travel is minimal Decent compensation Good benefits Opportunities for changing positions Ability to impact change When I worked there I was left alone to do my job without interference

      Cons

      Political environment Some tension between engineers and plant union employees, making it difficult to do my job.
