Pros

Great atmosphere, great customer relationships, and a meal for every 6 hour shift.

Cons

Owners do not delegate to management. Lack of consistency across each store and branding. Huge lack of communication between stores and the HQ. When applying online the job is listed at $12 an hour. It was $10.

Pros

I can't express how excited I was to get into this position as a Store Manager. They make it seem like they're doing big things....

Cons

The ownership is comprised of some of the most despicable people I've ever met and I say that having spent time working in the car industry. The pay is poor ($32k/year) for managers and you have a mandatory 45hr week. One owner you will never see and the other pushes his extreme anxiety off on employees. Micromanagement is rampant and the lack of tact makes him almost unbearable. The pressure you're under is overwhelming and they verbalize often that they started the company themselves and can just as easily run it without you. To make matters even more uncomfortable, they not only have the entire stores mapped under camera, but they have them mic'd up too and will listen into personal conversations and confront you about them later. One manager was threatened to be fired after he heard her criticize him. We are told not to cash our checks immediately and sometimes need to wait to do so. They don't like how tip jars look and dont pay their hourly employees a living wage. Also they will talk about your image and whether you "fit" into a certain store's culture. The managers are living paycheck to paycheck and dont have the means to find work elsewhere. Most of the other folks are actively looking for work somewhere else. No health benefits. No gainsharing. No 401k. Just dont both. It's not worth wasting your time. It's 2018 and there are too many companies out there that truly appreciate their employees and work to cultivate a better, happier culture.
