Pros
It was close to where I live.
Cons
Terrible onboarding or training program. Senior staff were unapproachable and refused to assist new hires, leaving employees to struggle independently. The team was overwhelmingly male, fostering a toxic and exclusionary environment. Misogynistic and transphobic comments were made by staff on multiple occasions, creating a hostile and uncomfortable workplace. Senior employees were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, often ignoring or sidelining other team members. Favouritism was rampant, with higher billers receiving special treatment despite exhibiting poor behaviour, including outright rudeness and refusing to engage in basic courtesies like saying good morning. Employees were expected to cold call all day, often lying to candidates about non-existent job opportunities to extract information. This not only compromised integrity but also left employees feeling conflicted and undervalued. Employees were expected to work long hours beyond the standard workday. Refusing to stay late would result in being publicly called out and criticized. The UK division of the company was struggling financially, with employees who hadn’t generated any revenue still retained after more than a year of underperformance. Management was disorganized and unavailable and could not lead, train, or communicate effectively. The lack of direction and support led to confusion, frustration, and low morale.
