Pros

- Free CEUs, computer/iPads to be help make therapy successful - Group of SLPs that have experience in every niche you can think of, very supportive and kind - Use innovative products to make workload easier for documentation, etc.

Cons

- Rely on metrics/KPIs too much, it takes away from SLPs using clinical judgement. Makes us feel like more of a 'product' than an actual person. - Pay is low, bonuses are set up so you get the least amount possible.

Supportive team culture with clear expectations and strong leadership. Excellent opportunities for professional growth as an SLP, including monthly CEUs and grand rounds. Despite being a remote role, there is a highly collaborative environment with a true sense of team connection. Flexible scheduling and accessible, responsive management make it easy to feel supported and successful in your role here!

Cons

Salary increases are capped, which may limit compensation growth even when performance expectations are met or exceeded.

Pros

Ever since I've started, I've really enjoyed having the opportunity to work from home. The flexibility of being able to complete work without having to worry about a commute or distractions from an in person setting have been really helpful for my productivity. This job has also been some of the best benefits I've had in the healthcare field. I think Expressable really makes an effort to be innovative and to grow as a company. One of the things I've appreciated is that when concerns are made, there's an active plan to resolve the concern. Engagement surveys allow the opportunity to note where you feel the company falls short and then those concerns are met with action plans to support therapists and the company as a whole.

Cons

For some, this setting may be challenging as it is fast paced and there's a lot of responsibility to independently keep up with product updates that come with working for a start-up. Being tech savvy is necessary at this company. Expressable is also still getting it's footing with streamlining insurance processes and communication with clients from the admin side. This can be frustrating at times as being the therapist leaves you somewhere in the middle. You really have to outweigh your pro's and con's. Some days are pretty packed with clients, but I've found it a lot easier to manage from home than in-clinic where it was more challenging to time transitions between pediatric clients.
