Once the company was bought out and the CEO resigned, it went severely downhill. The company does NOT care about their patients or what is in our individual office's best interests. The upper management is often outside hires with little to no experience, and they do not care about hiring licensed Opticians to make sure their staff is properly trained. The pay is absolutely NOT competitive. Multiple employees from multiple offices have had questionable interactions with upper management. They have completely disregarded the medical aspect of the services we are supposed to provide, and only concentrate on goals and pushing sales. MANY people in my area have left the company due to negligence and being treated unfairly. They are headed for a lawsuit honestly. I had to get the labor board involved after I resigned just to get them to pay me when they said they'd pay me. Absolutely awful, would never ever advise someone to purchase anything there. Go and get your eye exam if you want, the doctors are great, but if you're in the Jacksonville/Wilmington/Swansboro NC area... Take your RX to a reputable private office with LICENSED Opticians and trained staff. I would never refer someone to apply or work for this company. For reference, I've got 17 years in the business, and I've worked all over the country for private and corporate and this is THE WORST.
