Pros
I work at one location where the management is great and so is the work enviornment. The hours are handed out fairly, morale is good and we all genuenly like working there i feel. Theres a learning curve to this job though, but once you get the hang of it, its great especially for a retail job. After you've worked there for a year, every year you get a free pair of eyeglasses too.
Cons
The positives are very hit or miss. I took a shift at another location where they were understaffed because the work enviournment sucked. The manager was pretty lazy and was selfish with how he handed out hours, (giving out the long evening shifts where you have to count inventory and do a lot of cleaning to everyone else, having people clock in for him ect) and the staff suffered as a result. Theres a lot of other stores where the morale isnt great either, and its usually because of the management. Somehow other stores always seem to be understaffed because people quit all the time. Oh and did I mention, commission is only 1.2% and they dont pay overtime. They pay time and a half for red holidays, but not overtime which I found to be sucky. For our staff discount, we get cost plus 20% for the merch, which i just wish we could only pay cost price...
