The CEO of this company is incredible. She is empathetic, hardworking, and caring. No matter what your skills are she will find a way to enhance them, and help you develop new ones. She has so many amazing products and a team of people that are knowledgeable about the product. I enjoyed my freelance experience here very much.

The internship is ok for an entry-level position (someone who is finishing high school, has an associate’s degree, or has never worked in a corporate job before), however, it is unlikely that you will meet someone your age (especially if you’re young in your late teens or early 20’s) working there. It’s a very small private company. There is almost no company culture and it feels like a cult; everyone is working/doing their own thing throughout the day. Most of the higher-ups (including the CEO) have never worked at another company outside of the company. In fact, most of the workers have worked there for years and have never worked another job at another company elsewhere. The management/supervisors will appear welcoming at first, but once they get comfortable and used to you, they become abusive and may berate you (especially if you’re someone who doesn’t have certain skillsets) if you don’t do something correctly (despite the fact that they don’t always know everything either). If you’re a brand new worker, they expect you to learn and know everything in one go and expect a lot of work out of you. The location is almost in the middle of nowhere, therefore often, you have to bring your own food every day. There aren’t any vending machines in the office/building either. Breaks as an intern are 30 mins and unpaid, not to mention the bi-weekly (2-week) pay period. Speaking of pay, as an intern (or even as a fresh full-time worker), you start out at $16 an hour (plus tax deductions). Even if you get hired full-time, it is unlikely that the pay would increase significantly from there because of nepotism, most of the higher-ups are the CEO’s relatives or close friends. The CEO wants to expand their company/workers, and wants to hire “smart” people with Bachelors's and Master’s degrees from various backgrounds, but doesn’t seem to want to compensate them for their education credentials. Also, if you’re someone that doesn’t come from an accounting, sales, or logistics background, expect yourself to struggle as the company is heavily based around that. As an intern, don’t expect to get the position/role you applied for immediately (or even at all), even if you have skills and know what you’re doing for what you’ve originally applied for. They want new people starting from the bottom ground up. The CEO/higher-ups wish everyone to know about their products and the company inside-out. Things are not explained in full and can be disorganized at times. Expect to start out in sales helping out the sales team doing the same monotonous tasks in their SAP system transferring and processing orders all day etc. If you even mess up the tasks in sales, don’t expect to move on to the role/position you originally applied for. As I mentioned earlier before, it is a small company with not a lot of people working there. Most of the different departments (accounting, IT, etc) are run by 1-3 people at most. If someone is out for the day (or quits), expect their workload to pile on top of yours. In fact, I believe most of the people that worked there have been fired or quit (I probably don’t blame them), as I hear one of the workers keep mentioning “this/that person is no longer working with us/used to be with us”. Overall, it also doesn’t even seem like they get that many interns or new workers from time to time in general as most people seem to have never heard of the company (or perhaps they read/heard the negative work reviews). If you can find a better company to work for, I don’t recommend this place.
