Pros
It's absolutely rewarding to advocate and help families get back on their feet. The freedom to set your own schedule is nice. You can work from home some days out of the week.
Cons
Biggest issue is support. Management isn't really involved and there is a lack of communication and direction that will cause you issues in the long run. Many co-workers either quit after a few weeks, quite literally disappeared after a year or so, or were "let go" for the "betterment of the company" - even though these people were "great workers" just weeks prior. It can be shady.
