Pros
Able to control your income with a decent hourly pay, and commission on sales
Cons
My job title was VCS, or inside counter sales. I was hired knowingly with no sales experience, and coaching/training expected. That was non existent. Everything seemed to start of decently, until the shop was relocated. All good immediately went down the drain. It was quickly realized that the company had bitten off more than it could chew. Sales goals were increased along with heavy tension and contradicting statements and disagreements between owners and managing partner.. all while overtime was put on a strict freeze. Then I was stripped of my ability to do my job duties, being sent on installations and into production, proceeded by randomly being fired for not meeting the sales goal. The place was very clique-ey. You were either in their little inside club, or not. At time of termination, I was actually told that I was an extremely hard worker, but that hard work was not what mattered to the company. If you want to feel like a valuable human, this is not the place as they only refer to you as a "resource". As long as the current owners are operating this location, I would steer clear by any means necessary.
