The employees are great people and fun to work with and the work is over fun and easy

Your underpaid, even if you have a degree and management likes to play favorites and keeps their employees in the dark about changes happening to the company.

Some forward-thinking, nice people and ideas happening here. Unfortunately these ideas don't seem to be supported by leadership.

Obstruction of contract completion and non-payment of written milestone agreements. Avoidance of signing contracts, shifty behavior in general. They didn't pay my final milestone because they thought I wouldn't have the time/resources to pursue it. In addition, internal politics were crazy, employees badmouthing one another and senior management. Apparently nobody gets stock grants (why would you work for salary only at a startup as anything but a very junior software engineer?) and employees are paid below the Bay Area average for their experience. Terrible location.
