Pros
The campus is beautiful and the students are bright. There is a great sense of community amongst the faculty and staff as many live on campus.
Cons
Administration (with the exception of two new members) has driven a school that has been open since 1866 into the ground. It is quite frankly embarrassing the way faculty and staff are treated along with the expectation that everyone must abandon any semblance of a work/life balance. The culture at Fay is so toxic and high burnout perpetuating negativity and dread that you can feel in the air when you are on campus. Pairing that culture with the disconnected and bizarre ruthlessness of leadership has resulted in a mass exodus of highly qualified faculty and staff to leave over the past few years. I can't fathom why the parents in Southborough aren't asking why Fay School cannot maintain an elementary school teacher for more than one year. When the HOS is invisible and someone who has absolutely no background in education takes every shred of power within an educational institution... something has gone terribly wrong.
