Pros
The entire company is filled with people who are excited to help each other out, aren't afraid to ask questions, and genuinely support each other. Something special about Fellow is how much cross-department collaboration is always happening: the engineering team does monthly tech deep dives for the customer success team to deepen understanding of certain features, people from all functions jump on to customer calls to deliver demos in their native languages, ... We're all working towards the same goal, and it shows. Working to build the product is also very exciting, because we're solving problems that haven't been solved before. Whether it's on the technical side (working deeply with the many intricacies of calendar management and real-time notes editors) or the product side, we're working together to imagine new solutions to exciting challenges every day.
Cons
If you're looking for a job where you can focus heads-down on solely your typical job function, this isn't the place for that. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas that make the company, product, or processes better (like the time that someone on the engineering team organized a company-wide Felloween/Halloween pumpkin carving contest), and to collaborate with others across functions more than you'd find at other companies.
