Pros

- The pay I've heard is above average but not by much - Benefits are great - Career advancement opportunities

Cons

- The motto for Finning employees since I started over 3 years ago is "do more with less". But useless people keep getting promoted to management positions, only to get fired a few years later, then the cycle repeats itself. - Because people keep getting fired or promoted to "made-up" management positions, there is almost always a staff shortage which overworks the people who haven't been terminated. - The company is rife with cronyism and nepotism. If you want to move up in this company, it's easy. Just know the right people, and be willing to spend your time working off hours. You don't even need to do your job well. - There are lots of career advancement opportunities, but expect little to no pay increase, and 10X the responsibilities and stress. It's no wonder a lot of people don't want to move up. Finning wants you to "do more with less", and spend your free time working, but won't compensate you enough for it. In fact, they'll throw you out like trash whenever it benefits them. Finning is just a paycheck and nothing more.

Pros

Good and hard working employees for the most part, standard industry benefits and great business model for growth

Cons

Many changes within BP&S team in the past few months without leadership or strategic approach; Hiring and keeping expensive contractors instead of keeping knowledgable employees. The CIO acts as a bully and there is no oversight on his costly decisions and the chaos he has created. He was given the ultimate authority by the past leadership team and since they have left Finning, the new leadership team has not assessed CIO’s negative impact and outcomes so far. Moral is low and BP&S employees seem lost while the new CIO brings in more of his people on high paid roles and contracts.
