Pros

Had a variety of job responsibilities. Higher on the pay scale spectrum for accounts receivable.

Cons

Poor communication within department and amongst colleagues. Horrible co-workers; extremely catty and immature. No opportunity for growth. Will force you into work in a city- declared code red due to weather conditions. No time off to start. Receive 3 sick days after 6 months and 1 week vacation after 1 year.

Pros

Speaking for the San Diego office, First Allied is a very warm and engaging place to work. The people are great and the tasks are fulfilling. All this in conjunction with competitive pay and company benefits make for an outstanding professional environment.

Cons

They don't have kombucha on tap in the playground.

Pros

Compensation is higher than you are likely to get for a similar position at another company. Small company atmosphere - everyone knows everyone. Above average health insurance plan.

Cons

Little opportunity for advancement. No company 401K match. Working day is not flexible. Everyone works 8:45-5:30 so it may not be a good fit if you need to work around your children's schedule. A little behind the times from a technology standpoint. Dress code is old fashioned (women business suits or dresses, men dress clothes and ties). The world is becoming business casual, especially for those who do not deal with clients.
