Pros
The church congregation is incredibly friendly and will greet anyone new as if they were old friends. I was put at ease almost immediately upon visiting there. This is a good place to learn the basics of playing praise music, especially since the praise team is very friendly and the congregation is generally open to more contemporary praise music.
Cons
I knew that the church would not pay me very much for playing music considering that they were going through a major program restructuring when I joined the praise team in the late Autumn. However, they stopped paying me right after the new year, claiming that I was never confirmed to be employed there in the new year. However, nobody spoke to me about signing any paperwork until mid February. I had already gone a month an a half without payment from the church, with empty promises regarding my payment. I finally received an email about signing paperwork to receive my payment, but it looks like I will still not receive any form of payment for another few weeks. It as gotten to a point where some church members offered to pay me out of their own pockets.
