Pros

Base salary is in line with industry standards. Comp plans are above average. Benefits and PTO policy are in line with industry standards.

Cons

The CEO is overly controlling and does not trust employees, insisting that all decisions go through him. New ideas are not welcomed. He places family members on the executive team despite their lack of industry experience. As long as you're related to him, your job is secure.

Pros

Great people - Fleet really is a team effort and everyone's voice is heard. I’ve never had a suggestion shot down without discussion. If there’s something I don’t know, someone is always willing and able to help me learn. Excellent benefits - Fully remote (there’s no office to go to), great health, dental and vision coverage, and I’m able to take time off when I need it. TRUST - We’re all adults here, and are treated as such. Management trusts me to do my job, and that goes both ways.

Cons

Any cons here are pretty typical to startups. Things are constantly evolving and you need to be flexible and open to change.

Pros

The people there are awesome! Remote working. Unlimited PTO, as long as projects are finished of course Good base

Cons

CEO is insane, every 2 weeks he changes something in whatever department he wants. Apparently a 'if you have an idea/opinion let's hear it and talk about it' type of company. Well,,,, it is but the usual response is 'Well Mike wants to do it this way'. Progression is promised and only happens if it's decided from the CEO.

Fleet Device Management Response

Appreciate the feedback. A common thread that Fleeties love working with each other. Fleet runs on many startup concepts that former GitHub CEO, Nat Friedman, expresses well, including: - It's important to do things fast: going fast makes you focus on what's important; there's no time for bullshit - Overcome this: we are tied down by invisible orthodoxy We document how we operate in a handbook: fleetdm.com/handbook We have an ambitious purpose: fleetdm.com/handbook/company#purpose Sometimes we have opinions, and often DRIs make decisions so we can move quickly: fleetdm.com/handbook/company/why-this-way#why-this-way Including the CEO: fleetdm.com/handbook/company/leadership#ceo-responsibilities And all are encouraged to be open and speak freely: fleetdm.com/handbook/company#openness Thanks for doing so here. -Alex
