1. Salary isn’t at all competitive and the “industry standard” raise is very low. Low. Difference between your 1st year comp and 5th year comp is minimal (unless promoted, but see #2).
2. Promotions are fickle.
3. Managers are ineffective in communicating with and leading staff.
4. Managers undermine staff, gossip about staff and are snide to staff.
5. Managers are opposed to giving constructive feedback to staff (further developing staff’s skills, knowledge, etc.). Seems they’d rather gossip or talk about staff behind their back (basically #4).
6. Aside from the grave need of soft skills, managers (new and old) need a better grasp of the company. Simply put, they don’t know what they’re doing.
7. Management...needs to do better as a whole.
8. I WOULD NOT recommend accepting a position within this company.
