Pros
Everyone I've talked to is here because of the pay. Do not believe them about equity, they will never explain how that works, I don't think they even know.
Cons
This is one of the most dysfunctional workplaces I've been at. It's a very small team, but management still silos decisions, fails to communicate priorities, and then blames the team when things don't go well. I witnessed every single person in management lose their temper and yell in a meeting. The atmosphere of fear is palpable. No one can voice an opinion different from what management thinks. At the same time, they will grill you on the "values" of the company, one of which is "fun". And you'd better believe that if you don't joke around and pretend to laugh at their tech bro jokes you will be written up for it. Some things that have made people gasp when I tell them about working here: One co-worker was put on a PIP for a "clothing violation". They thought her handknit sweaters were unprofessional. Yes we are fully remote. Good luck bringing this to HR, she is their friend from Burning Man.
