Pros

Beautiful legacy, and most of the shows are free to all employees. That's it.

Cons

The organizational culture is toxic for employees below the director level, who are undervalued and unsupported. There is a lack of structured onboarding, job training, and professional development opportunities. The Board engages primarily with executive leadership and remains largely disconnected from the experiences and concerns of front-line staff. Planning and communication at the executive level are often reactive rather than strategic, contributing to frequent last-minute decisions and a lack of clarity across departments. Many managers lack the training or experience to effectively support and develop their teams. Between 2021 and 2024, the organization experienced a staff turnover rate of approximately 30%, suggesting deeper issues that need attention. ED is all about serving the community but does not care about his own staff. Simply said, nobody cares.

Pros

Working with skilled performers and crew. The Flynn has a lot of history and when the right team is there, it's a great place to work,

Cons

They are having difficulty hiring a Director of Production because they don't seem to know what it is they are looking for in candidates. Once they have a qualified person running the Production Department, a lot of the drama will subside. Currently it's pretty chaotic though.
