Pros
You get a paycheck.
Cons
They don't care about properly training people. I had 2 1/2 hours of computer-based training and 2 days on on the job training before they just left me and had me closing up the entire deli on my own on a Holiday weekend. The Deli doesn't have their own way to directly call the manager, I called my manager over the speaker system twice when I was alone and needed help but she never came and I had to figure it out on my own. I had to have another employee, a cashier, call the manager for me and only THEN did she show up. I worked 6 hours without a break or lunch because I couldn't get in contact with anyone and I was alone in the Deli. I have only ever been able to take a break when other employees have been in the deli. You're schedule is NEVER certain. I was hired for the evening shifts but i've been working every shift except opening since i've been employed. You are only notified the day before your new schedule goes into effect. So on Saturday, you'll know if you work tomorrow (Sunday) and you only have that small window to plan your week. VERY heavy lifting on a regular basis as well; 50lbs at the least
