Pros
Training program was good for graduates, but seemed poor for for other staff. Shortly after I left the company stopped sponsoring people for MBA/Masters studies - a sign that they do not really value the professional development of their staff.
Cons
Little vision from senior management, in general senior management were not inspirational (with a few exceptions). There were a few stand-out departments to work for - but if you're stuck working for someone who's just there to wait it out until retirement (and there were more than a few of them) then it will be a looong year or two of campaigning to get a transfer into another department.
