There are genuine, impactful opportunities to leverage technology to improve business outcomes across the portfolio of companies. If you are able to make the right connections then it's possible to work on something career defining and earn a leadership title if that is your desire. Otherwise, you'll meet some nice people and earn decent pay/benefits for a non-tech firm.
Cons
Fortive culture exhibits toxic positivity, encourages embellishment of reported outcomes and consistently chooses to sacrifice product quality to keep operational costs "small." It's incredibly difficult to do any quality technical work despite the abundance of potential in front of you.
