I must express my deep disappointment and concern regarding my experience as a former employee at Fount. As an academic professional who is extremely passionate about health science, I have never been so poorly treated while working for a company. Unfortunately, my time at this company was marred by a hostile working environment in which I was sexually discriminated against and harassed while working amongst a group of men. During my time of employment, I was 1 of 2 female employees as the company was comprised of 95% men. I was directly harassed by a manager over the entire duration of my employment. The company culture at Fount resembles that of a frat house as numerous verbal and written derogatory comments were made about my appearance on a weekly basis. These comments not only made me feel extremely uncomfortable but it also made me feel hopeless that I would never have a voice of authority within the company. Furthermore, Fount does not have a Human Resources Department nor made any efforts to implement a reliable HR representative. As a result, this made it impossible to resolve these disturbing issues and left me feeling very alone and objectified as a women.
