Pros

- Up-to-date tech stack with a strong focus on innovation - Freedom, trust, and autonomy — your opinion is valued - Competitive yet collaborative work environment. Really nice environment & people. - Empowered to step out of your comfort zone, take initiative, and lead new ideas

Cons

- Company leadership is based in Amsterdam, so Barcelona voice has less influence - Financially, the company is not fully stable; departments face layoffs every 1/2y - Career growth slows significantly after reaching Senior Software Engineer; however, if you start as a junior with ambition, you can grow quickly and make a strong impact - We always finish the quarter without having the next quarter’s initiatives properly refined. This makes estimates completely unrealistic, deadlines are missed, and the first sprints of the new quarter are always spent finishing leftover work or trying to analyze what to do next.

Pros

A fantastic company where people feel at home and grow passionate about the mission and about achieving our ambitious goals together, as a team. I have personally seen Fourthline improving in every single aspect ever since I joined, from the topmost management level to working students and everybody and every team in between. I can safely say that Fourthline combines very challenging work with a clearly positive societal impact. Here people are motivated to bring out their best selves, while maintaining a very healthy work-life balance. Last but not least, in Fourthline having fun together is seen not as a bonus but as a prerequisite to maintain a thriving team.

Cons

For me still an advantage, but for some maybe not. In Fourthline you will be challenged. You will have to go beyond your comfort zone, not by working long hours, not by engaging in meaningless meetings, but by having to keep up with a fast pace, learn new things and apply them in order to maintain Fourthline's edge.
