Pros
- great coworkers
- decent work/life balance
- learned a lot spanning all parts of business in a short period of time. but this is not unique and can be experienced at pretty much any small agency.
- learn a lot about what you dont want
- good for people under 25 to grow
Cons
Everything else. Work is repetitive, extreme favoritism in management, low pay, misleading studies from 22-year-old "data analysts" with no stats background get placements that will make you never trust the media again, yearly layoffs, and you will not be able to claim strong understanding of craft that translates outside of this environment. They don't care about design, strategy, PR, SEO outside of links, or engineering. If you enter another company claiming you can lead a cross-project as a PM of these disciplines, you'd be laughed at. (Creative strategists also work as PMs at Fractl, as least when I was there a couple years ago.)
The worst part is how little C-suite cared about anyone despite pretending to. Just callous people if you were outside their clique. They claimed they cared about things like DEI and inclusivity, but they are kinda like the military. Lost of financially desperate, BIPOC/non-heterosexual people hired, but all are completely disposable and only there to be exploited. It's sad because some of leadership belongs to these categories but are still totally comfortable with their strategy.
I felt the need to leave a review because just reflecting on my career and peeking on former employers, I was shocked to see it's the exact same company. Avoid this place.
