Franchise Direct was once a nice place to work, with great people and a close-knit feel

The owner took over operations last year and it has since become a horrible place to be - save yourself the stress and don't apply here

FranchiseDirect has been a wonderful company starting out. Several things worth pointing out are within the overall atmosphere. My fellow team members have been wonderful helping me get setup in my developer area. FranchiseDirect does fun and interesting things such as having a celebration once a month for all employees with birthdays that month. Some other perks include great X-mas bonus. In general, people working there are the company greatest asset. When it comes to hiring process it was fine and easily streamlined. All expectations were made clear throughout the entire process.

The dev stack was a bit ancient when I left the company after 4 years in 2018, but things may have changed since then. Company also didn't deal correctly with really awful engineering manager that was eventually fired, but it took more than a year to realize his bad influence to the other team members.
