Pros
I am a working mum with a small child. At FromHereOn I am supported and encouraged. My colleagues are very friendly and respectful. The culture is very good and improving. When I joined, I requested to work 4 days a week which was instantly accepted. Any mom would know the value of this and how rare it is in many fields. I can work from home most days which saves me time. When I go to office (once or twice a week) it is casual and comfortable. Hours are flexible as well. As long as we don't have client engagements or important meetings I can drop or pickup my daughter from childcare and work later at night. Our CEO has a small child too and he sometimes joins meetings with him which models a great behavior for everyone else. There is no strict hierarchy. Everyone can speak up and to anyone in the company and be heard if they have a valid point. We have weekly online catchup which is fun. We are invited to dinner or lunch catchups every few weeks.
Cons
Like other consulting firms there may be long hours and work pressure when on a project. However my colleagues do their best to give me more flexibility considering I have a small child. Some of my colleagues work very long hours but this is recognized by the management and down times are offered. At the moment I only have a few female colleagues but the company is working hard to change that. The organization is going through a growth phase so there can be more pressure at times until we pass this transition period. I am personally happy to be part of this transition.
