Front Range Treatment Center Response
2yThis is such an unfortunate situation.
This former employee had the lowest retention rate of any provider we have ever hired. More than half of all the new clients she received would quit within a few sessions, often never returning after their initial session.
We attempted to address this problem for several months, but the employee was consistently defensive and unable or unwilling to accept or incorporate feedback (as further evidenced by this bizarre review). We then decided to reach out to the clients that had terminated with her, and we were shocked by the intense negative responses we received. One client called her the most unprofessional therapist they had ever met with. Others told us she was rude, unkind, invalidating, and judgmental.
All new hires consistently receive 1hr of individual supervision and 2.5 hours of group supervision a week, which is way beyond industry standard. During supervision this employee was consistently dismissive, sarcastic, rolling her eyes and scoffing at every suggestion from both supervisors and other team members.
We mistakenly believed these were just bad habits that could she improved upon with help, but we learned too late this former employee didn't see her defensiveness and aggressiveness as a problem. Instead, she chose to blame everyone around her.
