Pros

Solid benefits, solid entry level pay, management has been great, good fundamentals, good culture, good entry level training, good entry level bonuses

Cons

A quarter raise for a promotion is pathetic, train you HR team to have a better answer for it other than “but you have bonuses and the only difference from personal banker is the calls”, that’s not true, in this role you’re expected to be the go-to when the FCM is out, which is quite often. Essentially this position is assistant manager without the money or title. The bonus structure is not very good and only paid out quarterly. Even if you hit your call goal, account goal and loan goal it’s still not very much. Once on the retail side it is difficult to get out, the company doesn’t seem to want to train you for other lines of business

Pros

Work hours, holiday pay, and the coworkers are great.

Cons

The hiring process for internal candidates in San Antonio is horrible. It feels like people apply for positions and either never hear anything back or HR waits weeks and weeks to contact them just to say the job was already filled. A lot of employees don’t even feel like they’re really being considered. It’s awful for people who already work hard for the company and want opportunities to grow. Better communication and actually giving internal candidates a fair shot would go a long way. If you call HR, half the time they ignore you or act like you’re annoying them for even asking a question. They come across really stuck up and make people feel like they’re beneath them instead of actually helping. It just feels rude and unprofessional. I transferred from another Frost region, so I know not all regions are like San Antonio. In Fort Worth, HR cared about people and were helpful, friendly, and acted like they wanted to help you. San Antonio is totally different. The people come across rude, and like they really don’t care about employees at all. Strange because it’s the headquarters. Work in another region besides San Antonio.
