Pros
Able to have an entryway to another country and have free time to do your own travels and research projects.
Cons
Pay is bare minimum. Unless you have multiple streams of income or extra savings, actually living and enjoying your stay is limited. 3/4 of my income went only to rent, most of the rest went to food and transportation. Hardly anything was left to do anything like go out to a restaurant to eat and connect and socialize. They want you to do these activities and integrate into society, but they don't support you to be able to do that. You barely have enough to survive and make ends meet, that's it. I also wasn't paid in the first 3 months. If I didn't have savings, I wouldn't know how I could have found a place to live and just simply eat and get water.
