Pros

A large district with many schools including public, charter, specialty, and online.

Cons

Salary and the advancement opportunities at certain schools, particularly in the low-income areas on the south side of the area. You have to stay at your school for at least two years before you can transfer within the district. In addition, you are subjected to the biases of administrators who may or may not promote from within.

Pros

You get a wide variety of schools to work with.

Cons

South Fulton and Alpharetta are really far away from the city center, and there can be a lot of favoritism in those areas. Paraprofessional pay is very low, and that can sometimes be the only thing that is available on Aesop. You may barely have a break to take your lunch - 30 mins or so.
