Occasional opportunities to learn about other areas of the company, which can open up the possibility of moving to another department if you so wish.
Cons
Some of management have served at the company for most (if not all) of their working lives, so have little training and experience from outside of the organisation. Micromanagement is therefore common. Many junior employees are straight out of university and are underpaid for the stress and workload (workers with more experience in the working world simply wouldn't stay in the job knowing what's out there).
