Pros

The projects can occasionally be engaging and intellectually stimulating, and colleagues tend to be approachable on a surface level. The unlimited PTO policy is a genuine perk for those who actively utilize it, though in practice, most employees seem to take no more than 15 days annually

Cons

The company culture is deeply toxic, largely driven by the CEO's inability to tolerate any form of constructive feedback. He frequently lashes out at employees, assigning arbitrary tasks that lead nowhere and waste valuable time and resources. This authoritarian style not only stifles innovation but also creates an environment of fear and resentment, where open dialogue is punished rather than encouraged.Retention of senior leadership is abysmal, with most executives lasting less than a year before departing— a clear sign of instability at the top. The product's market fit is fundamentally flawed and illogical, yet the CEO's ego prevents any meaningful pivot or reassessment. Workplace policies are erratic and inconsistently applied, shifting without notice or rationale, which erodes trust and morale.Once you peel back the initial friendliness, interpersonal dynamics reveal a web of cynicism and backbiting; colleagues often make snide, undermining comments about one another. The "startup" label is weaponized as an excuse for unprofessional, rude, and outright disrespectful behavior, allowing poor conduct to go unchecked.Career advancement is nonexistent—employees languish in the same roles for years while the company perpetually hunts for external senior talent, ignoring internal potential. The CEO's micromanagement and favoritism further exacerbate this, rewarding loyalty over merit and leaving talented individuals frustrated and disengaged.I strongly advise against joining FutureFit.

Pros

- Inspiring and impactful work - I genuinely see our product changing people's lives every day, and we're one of the leading players in a niche, fast-growing market. - High-growth environment where everyone is pushed to achieve more than they thought themselves capable of and given both the space and support to grow. - Extremely supportive, low-ego team members - there's always someone there to pick me up, and no one feels like their own work is more important the success of the team. - Flexible work environment - work when and where you want as long as you get the job done. Nice having office available as needed and seeing teammates in person at least once a week.

Cons

- You will work very hard. There is a high intensity and pace to the work, which means Slack is often lit up on nights and weekends. - The org runs very lean. Everyone is asked to cover a lot of ground, including things outside their job description. - Career ladders aren't always made clear. More structure around role titles/levels and org charts would help employees understand what advancement could look like.

Thank you for the thoughtful and honest feedback. We’re really glad the mission, impact, and team culture came through so clearly - that’s what we care most about building. We also recognize the intensity of the work and the reality of operating lean. That pace has helped us grow quickly, and as we continue to scale, we’re actively working on adding more structure while staying true to the trust, flexibility, and ownership we also value. Thank you for sharing your experience!
