Pros

GAMA International is a fantastic association that provides leadership development programs products and content to management/executives in the financial services industry. It's a smaller organization with roughly 20 employees. The CEO, Bonnie Godsman, is a brilliant and dedicated leader who does everything in her power to ensure the successful execution of GAMA's mission - Exceptional people providing exceptional experiences to develop exceptional leaders! Management is very flexible, there is plenty of opportunity for growth and personal development and the atmosphere is very friendly. I felt at home my first day as everyone is very kind and welcoming and you immediately feel apart of the team. GAMA takes care of its staff with fantastic benefits and plenty of training opportunities. You can make whatever you want out of it, as you have the freedom to be creative and the flexibility to do great things. I would recommend this organization to anyone and I hope I am proud to call GAMA family!

Cons

At times there has been confusion regarding roles and responsibilities as well as some organizational structure and framework. This, however, is completely justified as the organization has gone through some major changes through the past couple of years for the best interest of GAMA's members, the staff and the organization as a whole. With this reset, roles and framework are being redeveloped, as it isn't something you want to rush. Over the past year I have seen much of the aforementioned problems resolved through the efforts from senior/executive staff. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about.

Pros

Loved my time at GAMA, I received invaluable education, developed amazing relationships, and made the best of every opportunity I came across.

Cons

I've learned a lot of folks who work at non-profits/associations are just there to collect an easy paycheck, so often it can be difficult to get things accomplished when you have to work as a team (so I would often do everything myself to move the dial and get things accomplished).

Pros

The review with the headline "Amazing Place" is planted and could not be further from the truth. This is a HORRIBLE place to work. Who have you ever heard describe the CEO of an organization as "amazing"? And of the handful of reviews two -- TWO -- say how wonderful she is. Totally laughable but great insight into the completely awful, self-absorbed person she is. No doubt she authored the reviews herself to boost the abysmal ratings.

Cons

The CEO is a horrible, unethical, morally bankrupt megalomaniac who operates with a gross lack of accountability and fosters a culture of blame rather than ownership. Unethical, dishonest and corrupt leadership at a place run like a dictatorship. Bullies employees and imposes her political views on staff. Manages by manipulation and intimidation. Staff pay is exceedingly low and well below any standards, anywhere, at an organization.
