Another company that'll use you until they can replace you. - Design Engineer GDC Technics Employee Review

The work culture is rotten at its core focusing on deadlines rather than quality. Many times we were put under pressure to produce drawings in a "quick and dirty" (Their words) manner. If the customers really knew how their "VIP" planes were really made, they might think twice before going for GDC Technics. Their handling of data is shameful and the communication between engineers from the US to the UK was shambolic. We would design something, that design would then be approved and released, only to really months/years later that this is not the way it was assembled on the aircraft. Ensued months of crunching where we had to revisit a majority of the drawings to bring them in line with what was installed on the Aircraft. During that crunching period, some of us worked relentlessly (sometimes doing 15+hrs a day) to meet the stupid deadlines set by the incompetent planning team. "your effort will be noticed" they said, "we are one big family and the future will be great" they promised... Meanwhile, behind the scenes, they were already planning to shut the UK operation down as early as the beginning of 2020. I worked for this company for 5 years, 50% of the time we didn't get paid on time. Now after all the efforts and sacrifices that we put into this company (that in the end really benefited the top brass) I feel used and discarded. The only things that kept me working there was the belief that the US could learn from their mistakes from one project to another (they didn't) and the amazing team of UK engineers I had the honour and pleasure to work for/with. I'll miss you guys. I won't miss you GDC Technics. You are a joke of a company.
