Pros
First, I would like to say that this review is more oriented towards recent college grads who are looking to get into GE Aviation. What makes GE Aviation great in my opinion is their level-entry leadership development programs. GE has several entry-level jobs; Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP), Operations Management Development Program (OMLP), and several more. Under these programs, you can choose several paths to go to. These programs are made so that you learn to become an efficient, productive, and indispenable GE employee. In addition, these entry level programs are all well respected by the majority of the Corporate world. Also if you are interested in getting a Masters, you can get it through their EEDP program and the best part is that you are not required to work for GE once you're done.
Cons
I would say that the location for GE Aviation is not all that great. I am from the east coast and their main plant is in Evandale, Ohio. Going from east coast to midwest was definitely a downgrade for me. GE Aviation do have a plant up in Lynn, MA which is close to Boston but all of the really cool stuff happens at Evandale.
