I have worked for GE in 4 different states, and their M.O. is always the same...they take into consideration "newbies" straight out of college with no experience, long before they give consideration to the employees that have made them a business in the past. Likewise, when times get a little tough on their books, they, without advance notice, chop the obvious....the higher-paid contractors, who are, most likely, the ones that made their product work to begin with.
