Pros
The pay is competitive. Medical insurance is pretty good.
Cons
The new CEO Todd Combs has driven the company into the dirt. People are scared to speak up about the numerous things that need to be improved, because they're afraid to lose their jobs. You can't trust that management has your back, because everyone is more concerned about how they look to their bosses than doing what's right. There's no accountability, and no one seems to care that data is a complete mess and people are just doing whatever they want. I will never be a GEICO customer after seeing how bad the data flow is in-house. Teams don't work together, and there's no single source of truth. It's turned into a hostile working environment, and no amount of money will make it worthwhile to work here. On top of all this, GEICO wants to be known as a tech company and build everything in-house instead of paying to use best-in-breed platforms. They're unable to hire the proper talent to keep the ship afloat, much less build replacement systems to "save money." They're wasting a ton of money on a total pipe dream that will never come to fruition under the current management and employee base. Check out the GEICO subreddit if you want to see the chaos that is employment at GEICO. If you didn't have a mental illness before working there, you'll develop one soon enough.
