Pros

It is an extremely diverse enviroment.

Cons

It is not possible to list all of the negatives for working at this company but I will attempt to name a few. The HR department lacks complete confidentiality. Your salary will be told to others inside the company. Adversities with other coworkers will be leaked causing even more drama. The turn over rate, especially for workers who have joined the company over the last two years, is insanely high. I would say about 3/4 of the people did not hit the year mark. Upon working there you'll notice people are either 5 years in, or started within a years time. Understaffed. This company has denied workers in CS vacation time. You will be working overtime frequently. This includes managers. Since this company can no longer keep its staff, new employees will get hired and immediately slammed into a huge pile of work left from workers who quit. The mental health of half the office staff is abysmal. At least the workers who have been with the company for multiple years get a decent paycheck out of it. If I wrote down the incidents that have occurred in this office my post would get taken down. The only reason this company is still standing is because they don't pay any of the workers enough to hire lawyers.

Pros

Made a very small group of friends

Cons

Where to begin… I won’t even discuss the bullying and gaslighting that occurs here. I’ll just discuss the company itself, for future candidates. If you are looking to streamline processes, be a true advocate for your customers, support your team and make positive change within your organization (amongst a myriad of other goals a true manager would want), you will not succeed here. MICROMANAGING TO THE EXTREME…There is nothing confidential about HR… There is a lack of support regarding staff needs; personnel, training and salary adjustments. First off, you can’t tell if the problem is due to restructuring needs, individual department sizes or favoritism (as much as they love to tell the staff there is no such thing). Things haven’t changed since 2018 so it’s safe to say it’s all of the above. The accounting department is non-existent. Invoices only get sent to customers after they've hounded the customer service department due to the lack of communication from AR. The operations/procurement team is non-existent so good luck keeping your ESD's. The production department needs a Production Manager along with a separate QC supervisor. The shipping department is non-existent. Lacks leadership for shipping and receiving. Also, it's highly recommended for women to NOT work in the warehouse... Hand holding and taking responsibility away from under-performers to place elsewhere is masked as “team work”. There is zero accountability here and 100% enabling ill behavior. Training? You get none. However, now Customer Service has an SOP and weekly training sessions to improve product knowledge. Salary. You either do the CEO a HUGE favor and get a fake title along with an undeserved salary in return, or threaten to quit in order to receive an increase. You can be there for years and still make 20k less than your peer. You can know somebody and start at 40k more than what the previous employee was making in that role. It’s really just a gamble. Test your negotiation skills here because you will get picked apart down to nothing, to justify low-balling you. Do not seek support, appreciation, respect or confidentiality here. The turnover rate is insane, but justifiable when you’re in the thick of it and see for yourself. This will be the 7th time rebuilding the customer service team. They will manipulate you to gather intel on people to get them fired. They will also eliminate positions to get around the termination process. Be prepared, you may have to sue to get your vacation time/commissions paid out. The cherry on top of the lack of accountability and disorganization, the CEO is a manipulative, gaslighting, narcissist. Genled Brands is very much so a “boys club” and you get an extra billion points if you were there for more than 8 or 10 years (refer to CEO start date). In summation, do not work here unless you want your peace and mental health destroyed. Happy job hunting!
