Wages are good and the workers are good people and holidays and hours are too bad

Poor management. Very much who you know not what you know in there. Managers will throw you under the bus to cover themselves. Full of brown noses who's daddy is friends with management. If you have less than 2 years service you might aswell be a slave. Lads and ladys with over 2 years service can do what they want and will encourage new workers to copy but when new workers do copy they get pulled in the office and nothing happens to the lads with 2 years service. Union will not represent you with less than 2 years service as we saw with plenty of lads including discriminatory dismissals the union will stand by and watch it happen but will not help because they have an agreement with fords. This keeps the union reps on good terms with management and they get an easy life with extra benefits. Saw racial discrimination, sexual harassment, disability discrimination from both management and employees but nothing gets done about it and the company and HR cover it up. Alot of good lads got taken on last year and because of fords poor management they started sacking them for silly reasons if any at all. I know a few good lads who were sacked with made up reasons and because unite union refused to represent them nothing happened we had to sit and watch knowing that if we get involved we get a target on our back. If your new you get bullied into overtime the older workers will tell you things like. "You have to do it or you might not get your contract" this is a lie you don't have to do anymore than your contract states. But we see the same employees around Christmas time jump on the other time pushing out the newer lads who have been forced to do it over the summer.
