Pros
10 minute breaks at 10am and 3pm. Semi-flexible half-hour for lunch. Small company.
Cons
Stressful environment with little reward. Worked there for seven years, received three minimal raises (not even a performance review in my last three years). No performance bonuses, no annual bonuses. Compensation was low to begin with. Frequently had to scrimp to afford gas to get to work. Utterly inflexible hours adds to the stress, as does unrealistic expectations for speed and accuracy. Management is quick to criticize mistakes harshly, leading to an environment of finger-pointing and blame shifting. Praise for good work is virtually non-existent; a manager once confided to me it was company policy to actively block client praise from reaching employees. Corporate structure virtually flat. Owner > manager > employees. Can be nice in that it's simple and small, but also means there is no chance for advancement. Owner plays favorites. If he likes you, you're golden.
