Pros

Free lunch. You can drink alcohol and do drugs and get away with it.

Cons

I have worked in the warehouse building for over 2 years. The warehouse/fulfillment workers are in a separate location from the administration and tech workers. The warehouse workers are treated as unequal and unwelcome to the rest of the company. So much that we are technically employed by a temporary staffing agency, even those hired for full time. We get paid less than minimum wage (technically the warehouse is in Culver City, so although "Los Angeles" is a few blocks away, they get away with paying us at the California state minimum wage instead of the LA minimum wage). They do not offer opportunities for advancement or income growth. Only take this job if you are seeking a temporary, disposable position, because that is how they will treat you. Warehouse Supervisors and Management are a joke and highly unqualified and unskilled at their jobs. The grapevine states that they were hired through personal relationships with the executives, not due to qualifications. Basic benefits are missing for workers in the warehouse (Landmark location). We have no holiday pay or bonuses, which is difficult because they pay us extremely low wages. The health benefits are a complete joke - workers are better off on Medi Cal or Affordable Care Act plans. DISCRIMINATION: Men are entirely more likely to be promoted. When it comes to job positions where women are more qualified and have more experience VS men who have less experience, less seniority, and less qualifications, the men end up getting the job. This is not a one or two time thing, but a constantly occurring issue. Workers are often high and/or drunk. Workers call out and show up late regularly, but management is afraid to enforce any policies. SEXUAL HARASSMENT is a SERIOUS issue here and is not taken seriously. There is no discussion about sexual harassment despite multiple instances of women being physically and verbally assaulted. Every situation is swept under the rug by management. SUMMARY: If you are looking for a minimum wage (CA state minimum wage, not LA city minimum wage), temporary position, and you are a man, this place might be OK for a few months. Otherwise, STAY AWAY.

Pros

- The first couple of years were great. Fun team, smart people, super fast pace, and exciting work day-to-day - A lot of promise and potential for growth, in 2020 we hyber-grew and it was so fun - Strong teammates who supported each other - I was genuinely excited to tell people I worked here in the beginning — the vibe was young, trendy, and cool

Cons

If you’re considering joining, be aware: this is not the same GOAT it once was. If you had asked me a few years ago, I would have raved about this company, but the vibe and energy that made it special are gone, replaced with instability, layoffs, and poor leadership. Do your homework before signing on if you get an offer. Innovation stalled toward the end of my tenure. Most of the work shifted to maintenance and it often felt like we were just “keeping the lights on” Multiple large layoffs recently :/ I won’t pretend I know how to run a company, but in my view, the executive team is too young and inexperienced to scale effectively. It showed in their decisions, and they often came across as stubborn and dismissive of feedback that challenged their “vision” Just short-term, reactive moves and constant cost-cutting Equity doesn’t look promising; I don’t expect it will hold much value in the foreseeable future You basically get your base salary and that’s it. Perks are minimal to nonexistent. No real people-focused experiences, but I guess you get free shipping.. lol
